Semiotic Pivots and Activity Spaces for Elementary Science (SPASES)

Dr. Danish contributed to the design of the SPASES curriculum and software, as well as analysis work on the SPASES data that was collected. Design responsibilities included brainstorming new curriculum directions, documentation of current design ideas and their theoretical motivation, and comments or critiques about documents provided by other members of the team. Analysis work included viewing and logging video data as well as logging and conversation analysis of select segments of the video data. Dr. Danish was involved in collaboratively documenting the results of this study in the form of several papers and conference presentations.
