International Studies for Indiana Schools, also known as ISIS, is an innovative and award-winning distance learning program which uses interactive video technology to connect K-12 schools and community groups in Indiana and other states with Indiana University international students, scholars, and specialists. In 1995, ISIS was created jointly by the Office of International Programs and the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching. Using presenters from Indiana University's many world area studies centers, this unique outreach program is realized by means of Vision Athena, an interactive video project of Ameritech's non-profit Corporation for Educational Communications.

In tailored programs, addressing the specific needs of requesting teachers or community leaders, such as "International Security Issues in the 21st Century" or "The Daily Life and Culture of South Korea."

In topical series, with which any audience can choose to link, such as the two award-winning series "International Education Week 2000: Interactive Series for Indiana" and "Face to Face with the World," an activity of the Bridges to the World: Youth Trade Fair.

In orientations to ISIS and interactive programming, which facilitate audiences to design interactive video programs to suit their particular needs, such as "How Can the Social Studies Curriculum Benefit from Interactive Video Technology" or "Interactive Video Technology Uses for Family Services."

In facilitating direct connections between US-American audiences and their peers or relevant presenters abroad.
